Blog published !!! AGAIN

1/11/2026

First post in the new Next.js blog.

I have perhaps created over 20 personal blogs and self-run apps over the years. But they always seemed to fall to the way side as hosting challenges, $$$, and other things take precedence.

This time I've created a Vercel deployed site with my domain registered for 10 years. As well as a Developer domain at 56115611.xyz.

So I forsee I will not ever dismiss this project or jump to others as it's free hosting, and should be for life. The domain is pre-paid for the next 10 years at least. And if I want to jump to other things, I can create subdomains from my site and the developer site.

This blog will showcase my life (at least some of it), what I'm working on, and general ramblings. I doubt it will ever be read by anyone albeit my wife and kids in the unlikely event that I die. BUT... as 'they' say, journaling is the best form of emotional processing and manifesting we have available as typical run of the mill humans. So I will try and write daily till the end.

So to start: - what I'm doing right now. I've created a markdown blog for Robert Watson snake catcher, which has been heavily SEO'd and added a bunch of new pages/posts designed around covering all suburbs and main keywords. Errol Flynn the founder of Kyriminall clothing and apparel is getting a headless-wordpress ecommerce store using NextJS as the frontend, while the wordpress store will be on my developer .xyz domain. Errol's other domains Lifestyle Solutions Consultancies, and Limitless Inspirations will be deployed over the coming weeks as NextJS blogs using Serverless Markdown.

Claire and I are renovating the house to sell so we can travel around Australia in a caravan and live in different areas until we find a spot to plonk ourselves.

AI TAKES OVER

Github co-pilot has been a godsend, it makes working with code so much easier and 100x faster. I do not recommend for people without coding knowledge tho, and I know there are people out there building apps and websites for others using these AI tools. My thoughts on that are AI should be used for stream-lining, not for building things you wouldn't otherwise be able to build. Because while I know it's extremely intellegent it does make mistakes and suggest silly inclusions that are a waste of resources and time.

I'll be back

Hopefully this is just the first of very many posts. I think I want to use it like a journal to accompany my paper journal.
