I'm a self taught programmer. My passion for coding started when my father bought me a Commodore64 at age 5. During the late 80's I helped my best friend run a console business selling Sega and Nintendo games at the markets. In the early 90's I built my first PC (an Intel 80386SX with 1MB RAM) and later started learning HTML and later on CSS and Javascript to build websites.

I built my first commercial website in 1996 for Fastsports Gaming in Fortitude Valley, Brisbane. A non-commercial graffiti magazine stype website called "The Fad Audacity". And in 2002 a Graphical UI based on The Bunkers Windows UI, for Brisbane Online Games at Ashgrove. With user timed based lockout features.

In 2005 I started learning C++, Java and MySQL to build desktop applications at Ithaca TAFE, and LUA in my spare time for World of Warcraft mods. In 2010 I started learning SEO, as well as Wordpress using PHP / MySQL. In 2016 I started learning NodeJS with, Express, Typescript and React to build full-stack applications. In 2020 I started learning NextJS to build faster websites. with help from Bulma and TailwindCSS.

This website is built using NextJS, Typescript, Tailwind with Markdown(MDX) for blog pages. It is in the top 1% of all websites for performance according to Google Page Speed Insights.

In my spare time I like to code, play video games, and learn things: Spiritual ideas, Ufo's/Aliens. Watching Documentaries, Podcasts, Reading Books, investing, crypto, and Learning everything about AI. I run a SEO/Website design business for a handful of clients called  That SEO Guy (website no longer operational), Previously it was "Kustcom Computers".
